How LineSensei Ltd uses the details of people we contact about our services, people who write to us, and visitors to this website.
Last updated: 25 October 2026
You have the right to object to us using your details to contact you about our services, at any time and for any reason. Reply stop to any of our emails, or email joe@linesensei.com. We will stop straight away and add you to a do-not-contact list so that we do not contact you again.
LineSensei Ltd is responsible for the personal information described here (the controller). We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17522419. Registered office: Suite Ra01, 195-197 Wood Street, London, E17 3NU, United Kingdom.
We are a small company and have not appointed a data protection officer. For anything about your information, email our director, Joe Chapple, at joe@linesensei.com, or write to the address above.
We contact people at businesses, such as accountancy practices, about the automation and data services we offer to small firms. We may email you, and our director Joe Chapple may send you a connection request on LinkedIn. On LinkedIn we send the request without a message, and we only write to you there if you have replied to us or messaged us first.
Business details only: your name, your role, the firm you work for, its address and website, your work email address, and a note of when we contacted you and what you replied. We do not use home addresses, dates of birth, family details or personal social media accounts.
Public business sources: the Companies House register, your firm's own website and public business directories. When our director looks you up on LinkedIn to send a connection request, we do not copy or keep anything from your profile.
To offer our services to businesses they may help, and to keep track of who we have contacted and what they said. Our legal basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): our interest in finding clients for our business. To keep this fair to you, we keep messages relevant to your work, send only a few, and stop as soon as you ask. We send unrequested marketing emails only to companies and limited liability partnerships, as the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations allow.
If you email us or message us (including on LinkedIn), we use your name, contact details and message to reply and to keep a record of what we discussed. Our legal basis is legitimate interests: answering you and running our business.
If your firm becomes a client, we use the details of the people we work with there to agree and deliver the work, to invoice and to keep our accounts. Our legal bases are legitimate interests (delivering our contract with your firm), our contract with you where you are the client yourself (for example as a sole trader), and our legal duty to keep financial records. We need these details to take on and deliver the work; without them we cannot do it.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) for security and deletes them after about two weeks. Our legal basis for both is legitimate interests: showing this site properly and keeping it secure.
We do not sell your details. We share them only with service providers that help us run the business:
When we send a LinkedIn connection request, LinkedIn handles it under its own privacy policy. We may also share information with professional advisers, such as our accountants or lawyers, or where the law requires it.
Our website and records are hosted in London. Telegram stores data for UK users in the Netherlands, which UK law treats as giving adequate protection. Google and Anthropic, who provide our email and AI tools, may process information in the United States. For those transfers they rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge) or on standard data protection clauses approved for the UK, as set out in their terms. Ask us and we will tell you which providers we use and how each transfer is protected, and send you a copy of the safeguards or a link to where they are published.
You can ask us for a copy of your details, to correct them, to delete them or to restrict how we use them, and, for details you gave us under a contract, to receive them in a portable format. You can also object at any time to our use of your details for direct marketing (see the top of this page) or to any other use based on our legitimate interests. Email joe@linesensei.com or reply to our message. We will answer within one month.
We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone. Software helps us sort firms, but a person decides who we contact.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
If we change how we use information, we will update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
